My name is Kelly and I am a married mother of one. My son is the love of my life and I capture as many moments as I can. My world turns for him.
I discovered my passion for photography in February of 2008. I started playing around with my husband’s film SLR camera and eventually convinced him to let me purchase the second love of my life, my Canon Rebel XTi. It goes with me everywhere and I can’t help but take pictures everywhere I go.
The aspect of photography that I find most moving is that we are capturing moments in time. Man has always been fascinated with time travel, but what we fail to see is that we can freeze time and travel back whenever we want. We travel through time in our photographs. The photograph I take at this moment will never be the same as the next. My photo “Country Door” was taken out my car window as I sat at a traffic light. When I drive by there now, it looks completely different. But I will always have that moment, that scenery, that beauty, because I froze time. It is a powerful thing!
I also love the creative outlet. All my life I have longed to be more creative, more artisitic, more articulate. I wished I could draw better, paint better, sing better, even write and speak better. I have craved that artisitc side that I felt I didn’t have. Well, I have found that in photography. I am able to express myself, I am able to take something that is already beautiful and portray it in a way that makes it even more spectacular. I am finally creative and it is through my photography.
This is my passion. This is my photography.
